     Power Wheels Toys

Fisher Price has been making Power Wheels toys since 1971 and now has produced over 25 million vehicles making it the number one battery-powered vehicle manufacturer for the children’s market. There are three current categories of Power Wheels toys now being made: 1-2 Years - for children up to 40 pounds, vehicle only goes over grass and hard surfaces at speeds up to two miles per hour 2-6 years - for children up to 130 pounds and vehicle will traverse grass and hard surfaces up to two and a half miles per hour, and a few models can go in reverse. 2-6 years (performance) for children up to 65 pounds. These vehicles are designed for hard surfaces only but can achieve speeds of nearly five miles per hour! Monster Traction - for ages three and up this line of off road vehicle can handle children up to 130 pounds (depending on the model) and can tackle conditions like soft ground, tree roots, driveway edges, and garden hoses in addition to the normal grass and hard surfaces.

The PlasmaCar is a mechanical marvel that makes use of that most inexhaustible of energy sources, kid-power, by harnessing the natural forces of inertia, centrifugal force, gravity, and friction.

Some of these vehicles also have a reverse gear! And for more fun several models in each of the Power Wheels toy categories offer two person seating so your little one can take a friend along for fun and adventure. Prices are generally affordable as you can find new vehicles starting at just over $100, but the top of the line Monster Traction models will top $400. Each model comes with necessary batteries and comparable charger. A feature offered on the speedier vehicles for older children is assisted breaking, which Fisher Price calls their Power Lock Break system. This will not only help your child be more safe as they jaunt about the neighborhood, but prepare them for the controls of more advanced vehicles and for their first car.
